During each spring semester, professors from the College of Arts and Letters are invited to nominate students to the Dean's Fellows who display exceptional intellectual curiosity and embody characteristics of liberal arts scholars. These students are in turn contacted by the current Fellows to submit an application and, if selected, to complete an interview.

Applications for the Dean's Fellows are given on an invitation-only basis. In order to be eligble to join the Dean's Fellows, students must be a first year or sophomore with at least one major in the College of Arts and Letters.
